Casino Warnings, IP access and what to do!
Why Do Casinos need to see my IP address and location?
We have friends that live in North Carolina and they are not allowed to place a sports bet through FanDuel until they cross over the line to Virginia. This is an example of how Casinos put measures into place to keep Casinos in compliance with laws of each state.
Sweepstake Casinos must KYC (Know Your Customer) and that is why they get the documentation they need in order to ensure you are 18 or older, say who you are, etc.
Sweepstake Casinos need to know what IP address you are attaining POSTAL CODES from to ensure compliance. They may also provide Postal Codes for a brief time while their system (probably computer generated) detects an inability to locate your IP address and/or Location and then sends you a warning. (If you received a Warning, read further down). Therefore, there are a few things that you can do to HELP proactively never get a warning or banned from them.
STEP 1: Go to this site: WhatismyPROXY.com
A. Make sure No proxies were detected on your computer and make sure Your external IP is your location.
STEP 1.5: Check your IP Location: https://WhatIsMyIP.com (This site is more accurate for IP Location)
A. Make sure your IP Location is your area.
B. It is NOW recommended to check this EACH time before you pull Postal Codes.
Step 2: Turn Location Settings On. Watch Video here:
STEP 2.5: Make sure you have NO VPN operating.
A. VPN's hide your IP Address. If you are pulling Postal Codes from your phone, check your settings.
B. For IOS (apple Iphones), Go to SETTINGS, then GENERAL, then VPN & Device Management and make sure there is NO VPN connected.
STEP 3: Turn Off "Limit Ip Address Tracking"
For IOS (apple phones), Go to SETTINGS, then CELLULAR then CELLULAR DATA OPTIONS then make sure your LIMIT IP ADDRESS TRACKING is off.
SET 4: Check BROWSER for IP BLOCKER (HEADS UP ANDROID USERS!!)
A. Chumba does not have an app, so it uses your BROWSER to go to Chumba's site. Currently, Safari app is the default browser for Apple Phones and there is no IP Address blockers there.
B. HOWEVER, Android/Samsung users default browser is Chrome and Chrome browser NOW has an IP blocker. So, if you are pulling postal codes from Chumba, you might want to pull from computer where you can easily follow above video to make sure your Location is allowed for each particular casino. Watch Video above. Or if you want to continue pulling codes on your phone, download a different browser (you can't use Safari as it is for Apple phones only), but Firefox appears to currently not have an IP blocker for their basic browsing (that can change at anytime), OR just make sure your Phones Setting's do not hide your location or your IP address.
C. NOTE: all browsers do have a "Private Incognito or Private Browsing" mode which would block IP addresses but you have to manually select to do that. Only tell you that in case when doing your research of Browsers and Hiding IP Address that you start reading about incognito or private modes.
ANDROID USERS: Chrome browser blocks IP addresses!
ANDROID USERS should download a different browser that doesn't have IP Blocker and make sure that browser is used when going to CHUMBA. There maybe a way to Turn this Blocker off in Chrome but couldn't find that information at this time.

The Company is posting NEW information as they gather more information as to why a few have been deactivated and the best precautionary measures you can take. This site should get you started in doing what you can to ensure that you are not hiding your LOCATION or your IP address from each casino.
The Company information is located under CASINO'S in the FAQ's section. Read all questions and answers under CASINO. They used some of the verbiage from this site as well but I have made some updates to this site. The Company does recommend in using Computer to get codes especially if you get a Warning and make sure your LOCATION and IP address isn't hidden.
We all appreciate the Company is doing what they can to help prevent the masses from getting warnings and de-activations but it really is each Casino's actions. We encourage all to reach out directly to each Casino for any concerns. This site and Company's FAQ's are to guide us but everybody must understand the relationship for writing letters is between you and Casino.
If you get this, Our recommendation is to NOT GET ANY MORE POSTAL CODES!!
- Then you want to write Chumba Casino for more information.
- Adhere to all steps above located to ensure your IP address isn't being blocked.
- Check Back Office FAQ's then CASINO'S and see if any need updates there.
- Do NOT send anymore letters to Chumba for now. Get other Casino setup and write to them.
- Hopefully Chumba has gotten back to you with more info but lets assume they don't then this is recommended to get the best shot of getting all your SC's and converted.
- Wait 4 weeks but no longer than 6 weeks because you will lose any SC's that you have if you wait to log back on after 60 days.
- Make sure your browser isn't your LOCATION or hiding Your IP Address. Would recommend on logging on from your COMPUTER where you can ensure you have ALLOWED for site to see your location.
- Accept warning and Log in but DO NOT PULL ANYMORE POSTAL CODES.
- Convert any SC's and send them to you. Keep doing til you have all your letters redeemed.
- Once you have redeemed and transferred all monies from Chumba (or whichever casino you got warning from) then communicate with the Casino directly until you are totally comfortable continuing to write to them again.
Note: We cannot guarantee you will retrieve all, but this is the best attempt to get all your money for writing letters. Either way, we are sorry this happened to you but this is also we have other casinos to write to. Hopefully, Chumba or whichever casino communicates and you are able to use their casino again. However that is out of our control and we can only assess the best possible way to get your money for letters written and to continue to keep earning through other Casinos.
Paid Per Letter, Send it, and all affiliates cannot guarantee any relationship that you have with each Casino. That relationship is between you and their entity and we know that each individual is bound by the terms and conditions and sweeps rules of each Casino. We will however assist in helping to provide information to prevent issues and how to best remain compliant with each. We also recommend diversifying to several casinos as it is a good safety measure for many reasons.
