YOUR ADT MONITORED SECURITY SYSTEM –

SETTING UP WORK ORDERS FOR CONTRACT MONITORED ACCOUNTS:

  1. For Scheduling Reasons, it is best that you call Safe Streets directly for work-orders and service to your security system.

  2. Your account is a Contract Monitored Account (also known as In-House Accounts). All this means is that ADT does the monitoring but SAFE STREETS will do all the work orders and service for life of the account.

  3. When Calling SAFE STREETS for a Work Order, please start with:


“Hi, I am calling to setup a work order for a CONTRACT MONITORED ACCOUNT.”

If Safe Streets Customer Service tells you that you are OUTSIDE the 90 day warranty period and try to transfer you to ADT to setup the work order, then the operator doesn’t understand and you will have to explain that your account is a Contract Monitored Account and you were instructed that Safe Streets does all the Work Orders on these accounts.  If they are still confused then ask for a manager.

  1. Call Safe Streets at (804)412-0430 to set up work orders for service or to add new equipment.


When to Call ADT?

  1. You will only Call ADT when you want to put your system on TEST, verify/check signals were received date& time, or if you have set alarm off accidentally and want to cancel police dispatch call.  ADT (800)369-0996


What does it mean to put my system on TEST?

  1. Putting your security system on TEST for a time frame (typically an hour) means that the system will NOT call ADT when the siren goes off so that you can test your system.  If you were to set your alarm off and not put on test then the POLICE would be coming to your home.


How do I put my system on test with ADT?

  1. Call ADT at (800)369-0996 and tell them that you would like to put your system on test and would like to stay on phone with them to verify that they received the signals.  They will guide you from there.
