COMPLETE INSTRUCTIONS for Arming Security System in CART SHED/BARN area:
1. Put all golf carts and tractors within fence area and positioned how you want them. Currently putting Tractor at front just inside the fence doors.
2. Get the KeyFob (also called KeyRemote) from the Pro-Shop.
3. Close and Lock up Trailer/Shed door.
4. Make sure Fence Doors are closed so that the contacts are not more than an inch apart from each other (watch video above to see what the dark gray fence door contacts look like).
5. Now you should be INSIDE the fence with fence doors closed AND outside the locked up trailer. You are now ready to use the KeyFob. You want to be near the Steps of the Trailer and press the CHECKMARK (top left button) and hold for 3 to 5 seconds. As soon as you hear, "SYSTEM ARMED AWAY" then you can stop pressing down keyfob.
6. You now have 60 seconds to get outside the fence and get the one latch across.
7. Complete locking fence including crossbar and rods into the ground (this stabilizes the door.)
8. Return the KeyFob to the Pro-Shop.
FAQ's
-
I have done all 4 steps above and am pressing the checkmark on the keyfob but it is not working, What do I do?
ANSWER: Your KeyFob Battery has probably died. The Pro-Shop will have a second one available.
-
Why do I have to close the FENCE DOOR while I am inside the fence in order to set the alarm?
ANSWER: If you leave the contacts in an Open Position by leaving the FENCE DOOR open then the Alarm will set; HOWEVER, the System will BYPASS that zone which means that the contacts will NOT work if intruder was to open the fence door.
-
I see a LIGHT on the KeyFob, doesn't that tell me that the system is set?
ANSWER: NO, all that is telling you is that it sent the signal. The Keyfobs transmits signals ONLY. It does NOT receive signals!
-
I was told somebody can use the KeyFob from outside the Pro-Shop and the system will be armed.
ANSWER: It is possible; however, it is NOT good practice and not a valid process to ensure security. The only way to know for sure that the alarm is set is by hearing the System say, "Armed Away Exit Now" and start beeping for 60 second countdown.
-
What if it is raining?
ANSWER: You may have to walk up a few steps and put your ear closer to the outside of the trailer door to hear the Alarm System.
-
What do I do if there are NO KEYFOBS working and we have no KeyFobs available.
ANSWER: Probably best to run to Rite Aid (corner of Centerville and Mt Pleasant) and get new battery. Management should keep extra batteries in Pro-Shop.
-
What if I don't get out within 60 seconds and the Alarm and Siren goes off.
ANSWER: Press the "X" button on the KeyFob. You have now turned the alarm off and will need to repeat the above steps to ARM THE SYSTEM again.
